XRF and sampling
X-ray fluorescence provides elemental analysis. Over-belt measurement, slurry analysis and laboratory work use different arrangements. Online measurement is not the same as continuously collecting physical samples, and elemental grade is not a diagnosis of motor or conveyor condition.
System input
A suitable material stream or representative sample
What leaves
Elemental results with timestamp, basis and quality context
Equipment and support
Loading component explorer.
- Over-belt analysis
Repeatedly measures suitable material moving through an approved conveyor installation.
- Slurry analysis
Uses a suitable process sampling and analysis arrangement, distinct from the conveyor enclosure.
- Physical sampling
Collects material for a defined sampling or laboratory workflow.
- Analysis data interface
Connects quality-flagged results to authorised reporting or supervisory systems.
Sources and equipment-specific detail
No typical motor ratings, throughput or operating targets are assumed. Supply nameplate and application information for an equipment-specific discussion. The cable tool retains its existing limitations.
- Over-belt elemental analysis
A conveyor application reference. This does not establish slurry compatibility.
- Slurry elemental analysis
A separate slurry application using suitable sampling and analysis equipment.
- Sampling and preparation for XRF
Analytical quality background; not a conveyor or slurry installation procedure.
