Copper process · 02 / Reduce the rock
Primary crushing
Primary crushing reduces large pieces of ore mechanically. The machine arrangement depends on the ore and duty. A crusher does not extract copper or separate it chemically; it prepares the material for later stages.
What arrives
Coarse ore from the receiving area
What leaves
Smaller rock for conveying and further preparation
Equipment and support
Loading component explorer.
- Crushing chamber
Applies mechanical force to reduce rock size.
- Main drive
Supplies mechanical power through the equipment's drive arrangement.
- Lubrication package
Supports the bearings and mechanical interfaces of the selected machine.
Sources and equipment-specific detail
No typical motor ratings, throughput or operating targets are assumed. Supply nameplate and application information for an equipment-specific discussion. The cable tool retains its existing limitations.
